Meet the Studiomaster CORE 151 Curved Array PA System
If you’re looking for a sound system that delivers big performance, the CORE 151 from Studiomaster is ready to impress. This compact PA system features a specially designed curved array, built to provide controlled and highly effective sound diffusion—no matter the venue.
When it comes to live sound, coverage and clarity are everything. That’s where the CORE 151 shines. This innovative system uses a precisely engineered curved array to deliver wide-angle sound dispersion—offering 100° horizontal and 70° vertical coverage. Thanks to three neodymium 8” midrange drivers and twelve 1” dome tweeters, it maintains balanced audio across a broad listening area. The result? Enhanced clarity and reduced energy loss—something traditional PA systems struggle to achieve.
Hassle-Free Setup with Smart Design
Setting up the CORE 151 is a breeze. Its pneumatic speaker pole features internal wiring, which means no messy external cables. Simply connect the curved array to the subwoofer and you’re good to go. The angled control panel is built right into the sub cabinet for easy access during gigs. Plus, the rugged wooden enclosure not only looks professional but is built to last. Ergonomic handles make transport effortless—because great sound shouldn’t come with a heavy burden.
All-in-One Mixing with DSP and Bluetooth
At the heart of the system is a built-in 4-channel DSP mixer. It includes two mic/line inputs, a Hi-Z instrument input, and a stereo line/Bluetooth input. That means there’s no need for external mixers. Navigate settings easily using the LCD-controlled interface, and choose from DJ, Music, or Vocal presets to fit any performance style. You’ll also find a 3-band EQ, limiter, delay, and real-time metering for fine-tuning your sound on the fly.
Studiomaster CORE 151 Review: My Thoughts...
The CORE 151 sounds great right out of the box. When I set it up, I was immediately struck by the punch in the low end and the clarity from the top. It delivers exactly what you want from a compact PA system.
The 15” subwoofer holds its own. Standing close at a decent volume, I could feel the chest-thumping power—always a good sign. Sure, like most 15” subs, it starts to drop off a little lower down the spectrum. But that’s expected. An 18” sub might project further, but it won’t give you the same tight punch. And honestly, the CORE 151 offers more than enough low-end energy for performers and DJs in typical setups.
The curved array speaker also impressed me. Even when I stood close, it didn’t blast my ears off at high volume—a common problem with many point-source systems. That’s likely thanks to the three 8” midrange drivers inside the array. The sound felt wide enough to cover the space comfortably, and the top-end frequencies came through clearly.
It’s worth noting that the array isn’t quite as smooth as something like the RCF NXL 14-A. But for this price point, the sound quality is absolutely solid. More than adequate, in fact.
What really adds to the appeal is how lightweight and user-friendly the setup is. The pneumatic pole adapter makes mounting the array effortless. It’s a one-person job, and that makes a big difference.
