Who Is The EVERSE 8 For?
Electro-Voice designed the EVERSE 8 to be a top contender in many applications. It is perfect for mobile DJs, mobile musicians, hire companies, busking performers, live music, fitness centres/instructors, and schools. The unit measures 15.75" inches tall, 10.83" inches wide, and 10.71" inches deep. Moreover, weighs 7.6kg. Thus, making the EVERSE 8 perfect for anyone needing a compact sound solution that is premium, versatile, and robust.
Is It Powerful Enough?
The built-in digital amplifier is rated at 400w. As a result, it has a maximum SPL of 121dB. A 1" inch titanium high-frequency dome achieves silky smooth highs, and an 8" inch woofer produces punchy and defined bass. The EVERSE 8 frequency response spans 50hz to 20kHz. Therefore, delivering a full spectrum sound.
How Long Does The Battery Last?
An impressive Lithium Ion battery powers the EVERSE 8. Therefore, it lasts 12+ hours running at 95dB and 6 hours at 121 dB. A removable compartment holds the battery at the bottom of the casing. So, accessing the battery is easy.
Can I Use The EVERSE 8 Outdoors?
The full-length grille is solid steel. Underneath the grille is a hydrophobic cloth that repels water. In addition, included with the EVERSE 8 is a weatherproof cover. When applied, the system becomes IP43 rated. This cover protects the inputs and outputs on the back of the EVERSE 8. Here is a picture of the weather-proof cover.
Four-Channel Mixer
On the back of the system is a comprehensive four-channel mixer. The first two inputs accept microphone or line-level inputs via XLR/TRS combo sockets. Access channels three and four via a 3.5mm stereo mini-jack connector or Bluetooth. It features a DSP made by Electro-Voice's sister company, Bosch. As a result, it's packed with high-quality effects. For example, feedback suppression and audio ducking are available on the EVERSE 8. No. The EV QuickSmart mobile app is optional. You can control the EVERSE 8 using the mixer on the back of the unit. The app allows you to extend the flexibility of the EVERSE 8. For instance, the app enables wireless mixing.
