ELECTRO-VOICE ZLX G2

Introducing the ZLX G2 - the next generation of portable loudspeakers from Electro-Voice. The ZLX G2 line-up builds upon the success of the original ZLX series and offers a range of advanced features and functionality. The line-up includes 8", 12", and 15" two-way models in both powered and passive versions.

Features

The ZLX G2 series is a range of top-of-the-line speakers that deliver an impressive performance. The new G2 series speakers boast an increased output, which means they can produce a higher volume of sound without sacrificing clarity or quality. They also feature an extended frequency response, which ensures that every note is reproduced with precision and accuracy. Of course, the G2 series features EV's QuickSmart DSP, but with this time they've improved the display. Now, you navigate through the Quicksmart DSP on a large colour LCD display, a tasteful, standout feature of this series. 

The ZLX G2 powered versions are equipped with premium electronics from Electro-Voice’s sibling brand, Dynacord. These versions feature an ultra-efficient 1000 W Class-D power amplifier module that includes an integrated four-channel, three-input digital mixer with high-quality effects. The mixer comes with two XLR/TRS combo jacks and provides 24 V phantom power and Hi-Z compatibility. It also includes professional features such as AFS (automatic feedback suppression), ducking, compression, loudspeaker delay settings and more.

There are five system modes available on the ZLX G2 loudspeakers. The modes are Music, Live, Speech, Club, and FRFR (full range, flat response). The FRFR setting is a unique feature in this product category and is new for ZLX G2. It offers a linear/neutral frequency response that produces accurate results when used with modelling processors and guitar cab simulators. Additionally, the powered ZLX G2 loudspeakers have subwoofer presets specific to Electro-Voice. These adjust for gain and time alignment, resulting in full acoustic optimization. The DSP also has additional high pass (HP) filters for increased compatibility.

The ZLX G2 loudspeaker and mixer functions can be controlled and monitored using the Electro-Voice QuickSmart Mobile app. The app is available for both iOS and Android devices. It allows users to pair and group up to six Bluetooth®-equipped Electro-Voice portable loudspeakers in any combination. Users can also wirelessly pair and link two ZLX G2 loudspeakers in a stereo setup using Bluetooth® true wireless stereo streaming. Local configuration can be completed in seconds using the single-knob encoder with an LCD. The new full-colour LCD is larger and higher in resolution, providing a clear and crisp view of system settings. The ZLX G2 produces high-quality sound while being simple to use for users of all levels.

Design

The super-ergonomic, multi-position enclosure design is new to the series and provides a comfortable and secure grip for easy transport.
