What is the Studiomaster DirectMX Series?
The Studiomaster DirectMX series is an all-in-one column array PA solution. The series is compact, powerful, and lightweight. As well as this, the DirectMX series implement a plethora of handy features. Therefore, it is perfect for DJs, small bands, presentations, education and houses of worship.
What Models Are In The Studiomaster DirectMX Series?
The DirectMX series comprises of two models: 101MX and 121MX. The 101MX has a 10" subwoofer, and the 121MX has a 12" inch subwoofer.
How Powerful Is The DirectMX Series?
The DirectMX series delivers a peak rating of 2000 watts across the Direct 101MX and 121MX. In both models, the official rated power of the amplifier is 2 x 300 watts (RMS). Consequently, the 101MX provides a maximum SPL of 126 decibels, while the 121MX provides 127 decibels. Above all, the MX series produces thumping low-end frequencies and clear, musical highs through custom-designed wooden enclosures.
All DirectMX models have six 3″ inch mid-range transducers combined with a 1″ inch compression driver. As a result, the MX series, delivers clear highs and clarity on vocals or instruments.

Mixer
The DirectMX series has comprehensive 4-channel mixing, Bluetooth 5.0 playback and reverb effects on the input channels. On the mixer, you'll find the controls. With these controls, you can adjust the following on the mixer: DSP adjust, Sub Level, Channel Gain, MIC/LINE Reverb.
The DirectMX comes installed with a 4-channel DSP mixer. There are a few different functions. The functions are Mode, EQ, Gain, HPF, Limit, Delay, and Bluetooth. Channels A and B feature a MIC/LINE switch with input gain and reverb controls. Channel C has a HI-Z input, also with an input gain control. Great for connecting instruments with passive pickups like an acoustic guitar or bass guitar. Channel D is a stereo channel that has an RCA / phono input. As well as this, Channel D also features Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity with true wireless stereo.
As mentioned, the DirectMX Series has a digital reverb unit built in. Adjusting the amount of reverb is easy with the dedicated reverb controls on channels A and B. The Independent SUB LEVEL control allows for immediate bass adjustment.
Setup / Build
On the DirectMX series, the vertical array speaker and the subwoofer securely connect with a unique internal connection. As a result, this eliminates the need to run an external cable from the subwoofer to the array speaker. So, your PA is set up and ready to go in seconds.
DSP
A Powerful 24-bit DSP interface with a display allows you to adjust the three operation modes: Music, DJ, and Speech. Also in the DSP is a three-band EQ with sweepable mid-frequency and storable presets, digital gain control, high-pass filtering, dual-channel limiter, Digital delay for delay zones up to 100 m (in steps of 0.25 m) and Bluetooth connection. All of the above all controlled via a single control knob.

Does The PA system Come With Covers?
Yes! Both the Direct 101MX and the 121MX come with supplied with protective covers.
Is there an app for the DirectMX Series?
No, Studiomaster have not released an app for the DirectMX Series. You have to control the system from the built-in mixer.
